Choose a scripture Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. For all things are possible with God.” Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever! Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. For we walk by faith, not by sight. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. But they who wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint. Let all that you do be done in love. The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful. He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.
